Tiered caregiving is a cost-effective and tailored approach to psychotherapy. It matches young people to care providers based on their unique needs considering factors such as symptom type and severity.
The model involves three levels of care. First, Shamiri Fellows offer group-based interventions and near-peer support. Second, Clinical Supervisors, or Shamiri Supervisors, provide clinical oversight and one-on-one psychotherapy. For complex cases requiring intensive care, Clinical Experts like psychologists and psychiatrists step in. This model not only ensures receiving care at a clinically appropriate level but also provides it at less than 5% of the cost of standard care, making it a highly cost-effective approach.
This model allows us to offer a full suite of tiered care from low-touch therapy to psychotherapy.
